Congratulations Ms. Smith, 2022 Teacher of the Year

Kathy Smith makes a difference and does whatever needs to be done. Whether it’s in support of her colleagues as a mentor (she had three mentees in one year) or finding ways to guide instruction and support professional learning communities, Kathy has a vision for helping people and for being there when they need her. This defines her presence and separates her from most educators. There is a sense of selflessness involved in everything she does that cannot be ignored. You can feel that she’s here for people and that she yearns to be the change.
