Midlothian High School Athletics!
Are you looking to play a sport for Midlothian High School? Whether you are looking to play a Fall or Winter sport, all students must have an updated VHSL Physical Form. All forms are online and can be uploaded at https://midlothian.rschoolteams.com/. You can also contact our coaches and get more information under the Tab (Coaches Contact).
Are 8th graders allowed to play for Midlothian High School? Yes, however they can only try out for those sports NOT offered by the Middle School that they attend. Students must try out for the schools that they are zoned for and not attending due to specialty center options.
Good Luck Mighty Trojans!!!
Don’t underestimate the importance of having fun participating in school activities. Some of the best times and memories students have are the experiences of belonging to a club or participating in an after school activity. Clubs and activities are important to join just for the enjoyment that they will bring to most students, but they also allow the students to more easily make friends because the groups are small and they get to be themselves! Clubs and activities provide students with many positive experiences that help them to become well-rounded individuals who are ready for college or the workplace. It helps students to become active in their school and to feel a connection the school and to others. It provides a sense of pride and school spirit and it is a positive influence on our youth today. There is something for everyone! Get involved!
Playing on a school athletic team provides important lessons that will carry your student through many aspects of their lives from making friends to becoming a leader in school and beyond. Your student will learn the value of good sportsmanship, the success of good teamwork, the art of both winning and loosing gracefully and so much more. They will gain self-confidence, understand accountability and the outcome of discipline and dedication. Maybe the most important lesson of all, the feeling of pride, school spirit and the lifelong connection to their school and their peers.
We encourage all students to tryout for a team. If they don’t make it the first year, we urge them to try and try again!
