Librarian: Melissa West
Library Hours: 9:30- 3:45
We support the Robious Elementary learning community by providing a safe and welcoming environment that fosters collaboration and exploration. We invite students and staff to fuel their curiosity and creativity, construct new meaning about their world, and develop a love of reading. We believe the library should reflect the school community it serves and invite them to come make it their own!
Students will NOT be able to check out a new book until all late books are returned, or the replacement fee is paid for a book that is lost. A letter will be sent home with the student letting his/her parent know of any lost library books.
We welcome all Roadrunners once a week for a 45 minute class as part of the school resource schedule! We will inquire, create, collaborate, and explore together through various experiences. Students will also check out library books at that time and should return their books weekly. If they need a new book before their next library visit, they are welcome to stop back during open check out with a pass from their teacher. We always look forward to helping our Roadrunners find books they are excited to read!
- K-1st may check out one book at a time.
- 2nd-3rd may check out up to two books at a time.
- 4th-5th may check out up to three books at a time.
Students may return and check out new books at any time. They do not need to wait until their next library day! They may renew a book during their next library visit if they would like to keep it for another week. Students may also request a book to be placed on hold if it is not available for check out. 🙂
If you have additional questions, feel free to ask Mrs. West or Mrs. Peavey.
We are always here to help you!
