All rising 6th grade students are able to sign up for orchestra. The instruments to be learned are violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Students need no prior knowledge of the instruments. But if a student has taken private lessons prior to entering 6th grade, their leadership is welcome in orchestra.

The Sixth-grade Orchestra performs three times a year…Winter Concert in December, Rising 6th Grade Performance in February, and Spring Concert in May. There are optional opportunities to perform such as Fiddle Fest at the Fine Arts Festival and Solo and Ensemble, both held in April.
