Hello Wolves! I am thrilled to be a member of the Winterpock family and serve the children of this fine community as principal! I am humbled to work with such a caring and dedicated staff that continually strives to provide the best learning opportunities for all students.

My career in education began in Hanover County as a first grade teacher in 2000 after earning my B.A. in Sociology, Early Childhood Education, and Dance from JMU. I served as a first and second grade teacher for four years at Henry Clay Elementary prior to transitioning to Chesterfield County. I was as a second grade teacher at Salem Church Elementary for two years and a fifth grade teacher at Robious Elementary for one year. During my tenure as a classroom teacher, I earned my M.Ed. in Reading Education from UVA. This led me to serve the children of Colonial Heights in five schools as the Division K-12 Instructional Specialist-Reading Coach for six years. With the dream of returning to one elementary school, I completed my Ed.S. in Administration & Supervision from UVA. From 2013-2017, I served as assistant principal at Laurel Meadow Elementary in Hanover County. I am ecstatic about my third year as the principal of the Winterpock Wolfpack!

I am a native of Hampton, VA and currently reside in Midlothian, VA with my husband, Jeff, soon to be 10-year-old daughter, Mollee, and 8-year-old son, Will. You will find me on the soccer field as a volunteer coach for FC Richmond or putting up over 25,000 Christmas lights on our house! We love going to the beach, playing outside, reading books together, and cheering for the Red Sox!

As a school community, we look forward to partnering with our parents to ensure that each student has an amazing year of learning! Every parent is encouraged to become a member of the Winterpock Team by joining the PTA, attending school events, and/or being a volunteer. Together, as a “pack” we can make a positive impact!

Thank you so much for your support! Please feel free to email me at or call me at (804) 763-5051 if I can assist you with anything.

Assistant Principal

Hi Wolfpack! I am so thankful that I am able to continue to be a part of the administrative team as one of the assistant principals here at Winterpock. Prior to being in an administrative position, I taught at Winterpock in both 5th grade CBG and 4th grade. I also taught 4th and 5th grade in Richmond City and Chesterfield County for 10 years before staying home with my girls for seven years. I am originally from Long Island, NY and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Buffalo State College. After teaching for several years, I earned my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from VCU.

I’ve been married to my husband, Wayne, for 15 years. My identical twin daughters, Alyssa and Amanda, are in 9th grade. Most of our free time is spent volunteering at the many after-school activities our daughters are involved in. I do carve out time every day to read though. There is nothing better than getting caught up in a good book! I also love Disney and it’s my family’s number one vacation spot.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me at or 763-5051 if there is anything I can help with. I am really looking forward to working with the students, staff and families of Winterpock again. It’s going to be a great year!

Assistant Principal

Hi Wolves! I am so thankful to continue my journey at Winterpock for the 2019-2020 school year. Last year I enjoyed greeting your children every morning as they got off the bus, seeing their smiles as I visited classrooms, having conversations over lunch, and waving goodbye as you pick them up at the end of the day. My first year at Winterpock was an absolute joy and I’m blessed to continue serving this community as a member of the pack!

Before becoming your Assistant Principal, I served as the Dean of Students. Prior to my time at Winterpock, I spent sixteen years teaching in Chesterfield elementary schools. For two years, I served as the Title I reading teacher at Chalkley Elementary, where I also taught for ten years. Most recently, I taught 3rd and 5th grades at Robious Elementary.

I am a proud graduate of Chesterfield County Public Schools. I earned my Bachelor of Science in English at Radford University and my Master’s of Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University. This past year, I completed my Master’s of Administration and Supervision at The University of Virginia!

Did I hear Wahoowa?! In my free time, I enjoy watching and attending UVA basketball and football games. My family loves to travel to watch and support our Hoos! When I am not in Charlottesville catching a game, you will find me spending time with my family and friends. My niece and nephew have my whole heart, well, the part that isn’t consumed with my sweet dog Parker. He is a 14 year old Lhasa Apso and 8 little pounds of fun. My favorite hobby is antique shopping and refurbishing old furniture when I find time. Every piece has a story and I love bringing it back to life.

I look forward to another amazing year and continuing to build relationships with all members of the Winterpock community! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if there is anything I can help you with.

Hi Wolfpack,

I am honored for the opportunity to be a part of the Winterpock family and serve as the Dean of Students for this upcoming school year. Before entering this leadership role I had 8 years of teaching experience in Chesterfield County as a 1st-grade teacher, 2nd-grade teacher, and a Title 1 reading teacher at Falling Creek Elementary School. I obtained a Master’s Degree in Literacy and Culture from Longwood University where I completed my endorsement in Educational Leadership. I have also received my endorsement as a reading specialist and currently hold a certification as a National Board Certified teacher. I am excited to build positive relationships with the students and families as I work with the administration team to impact student success in academics as well as their social and emotional health.

Besides the title of Dean of Students, the most important title that I hold is the title of “Mom”. My husband and I have 2 amazing and inquisitive children at home who are the love of our lives. I am a proud graduate of Chesterfield County Public Schools and I anticipate the moment when my own two children obtain their education in this wonderful county. I enjoy listening to music, dancing, going for walks, reading books, and trying new hobbies. I love interior design and being creative. I have been known on a few occasions to randomly rearrange furniture, add furniture and decorative pieces, and paint walls when I have free time at home.

I am looking forward to collaborating with the Winterpock students, families, and community to continue the tradition of excellence and teamwork.  If you need anything, please feel free to contact me at or 804-763-5051. I am anticipating an outstanding year with the entire Wolfpack family.
