Hello, Woolridge Family! I am looking forward to our school-wide theme this year, “We may all be different fish, but at WES we swim together!!” Below is a little bit about me:
I received my Bachelor of Science from Radford University in 2001. My degree is in Elementary Education with concentrations in Special Education and English. In 2007, I received my Master of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Educational Leadership K-12.
I have been fortunate to be a part of Chesterfield County Public Schools as a student, educator and school administrator. I graduated from James River High School in 1997. I started my career at Alberta Smith Elementary School where I taught 3rd grade for 7 years. I then transferred to Clover Hill Elementary School where I taught 3rd, 4th and 1st grades. I moved into school administration in 2012. I have had the opportunity to work at Evergreen Elementary School as the Administrative Assistant and Bettie Weaver Elementary school as their Assistant Principal. I am excited for another great year here at Woolridge as your principal!
My husband, Brad, and I live in the Midlothian area with our two wonderful children, Chase (15) and Sarah (13). We have two sweet Shichon (Shih tzu/Bichon frise mix) named Stella and Luna. I spend most of my free time with my family watching Chase playing soccer, Sarah playing soccer and cheering. I have a passion for running, horses, and going to the beach.
Again, I am looking forward to a great year!
