The mission of Bettie Weaver Elementary School is to establish and uphold high academic standards in a safe learning environment where all students reach their potential, become life-long learners, and become productive, caring citizens. The mission will be achieved through a partnership composed of staff, students, parents, and members of the school community working together to provide a challenging educational program while promoting respect, integrity, responsibility, and a positive attitude.

We are swept away with learning in Kindergarten!!

Students use letter sounds to become early readers and writers. Writing Workshop time allows students the opportunity to use both their writing skills and imaginations to put their ideas on paper.  In math, we have fun learning about number sense with lots of hands-on activities! Students also explore various science and social studies concepts throughout the school year. Along the journey of learning, students experience opportunities for personal growth through class meetings, a focus on kindness, and service learning projects.
